Technical Author

  THE ROLE
Responsibility for production of Operations and Maintenance manuals for clients in accordance with their specific requirements
KEY RESPONISBILITIES
*Liaison with project management to ensure that client requirements are specified correctly
*Compilation of O&M manuals in accordance with client specific requirements as detailed on the OED
*Actively monitor the order book to plan client requirement for O&M manuals, liaising with project management on deadline requirements
*Liaison with the relevant design engineers to obtain relevant drawings and manual inserts which relate to manufactured products
*Liaison with project management to obtain relevant sub vendor drawings and manual inserts which relate to non-manufactured parts etc.
*Research into general health and safety considerations of client deliverable for incorporation into the O&M Manual (e.g. PPE required to operate machinery etc.)
*Liaison with engineering to obtain approval of the accuracy of the technical content of the manual
*Dispatch of draft O&M Manual to client site and completion of required alterations
*Dispatch of final O&M Manual to client site
*Management of O&M manual register (outstanding, completed and archived manuals)
*Participate and actively support company initiatives
*Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.
*Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.

THE JOB

Package Design Engineer

  THE ROLE
Responsible for package design projects through to handover to production, observing the need to apply cost effective solutions and ensuring costs are controlled within estimates provided at the tendering stage
KEY RESPONISBILITIES
*Undertake responsibility for design, processing and supporting activities
*Compile engineering design plans for each order or contract
*Prepare and issue, according to established or agreed procedures, schedules and specifications, of calculations, drawings, requisitions and piece lists to satisfy design, manufacture and customer requirements.
*Issue specifications for the selection, specification and ordering of factored equipment such as filters, PCVs, PSVs etc.
*Control the certification of all drawings and technical data issued to the customer and also the approval of all vendor drawings and data
*Give support to other departments on engineering problems including the forwarding of Engineering proposition data to Advance Engineering and Sales
*Liaise with Customer and Sub-suppliers as necessary
*Observe the need to apply cost effective solutions and participate in ensuring costs are controlled within estimate.
*Ensure that product development ideas are passed to the appropriate channels
*Participate in introducing new or revised standard products into our manufacturing range and ensuring that our designs are compatible with the latest design standards
*Participate and actively support company initiatives
*Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.

Our client is a unique player in the monitored security industry and is well established in the residential market. They have trialled the system in the commercial market and it has been received well, so they are now looking to capitalise in the business to business market. To enable this they now require an additional Field Sales Executive to sell this *no competition* affordable product.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for targeting businesses within the local area to promote and sell the security product and service contract. You will be demonstrating the equipment in business premises to owner / managers, closing the sale and generate further referrals.
THE PERSON
You will have a strong background in sales, particularly in face to face sales, have your own vehicle and mobile phone. You must be self motivated, as there will be large amounts of time spent working on your own, money motivated and a hard worker. Complaint Handlers x10

  An opportunity has arisen for up to 10 compliant handlers to undertaken a 3 month fix term contract for major company based in Sheffield.
The role will be telephone based for a leading consultancy dealing with technical compliant surrounding investment and pension policies.
You will work in a fast paced team environment and candidates must have strong communication skills.
This is a 3 month fixed term contract so candidates must be immediately available and be able to start on the 22nd September.
Candidates ideally need to have previous complaint handling experience within the industry and ideally be FPC qualified
Candidates from a mortgage background who hold CeMAP will also be considered.
Basic salary of £20,000
£1000 bonus paid on completion of the 3-month period.
