Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of the smallest and most feature rich electronic control products for the lighting industry. From the Leeds site, they manufacture state of the art ballasts control for retail, commercial and emergency lighting applications. Following recent investment and re-organisation, they now have an opportunity for a exceptional person to join their supervisory team in the production department.
THE ROLE
On a day to day basis you will be supervising the team in the diagnosing and repairing PCB's. In addition to managing and motivating the team you will have responsibility for:
* Performance reporting- output, reject rates, pass rates and attendance, etc.
* Training the teams - inspecting the output to ensure quality
* Failure Analysis - Carry out ICT rework and log data for further analysis
* Continuous Improvement - Identify and drive improvements in order to increase output.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a strong background in electronic repairs, and of managing and developing a small team of people. You will understand BOM, circuit diagrams, assembly drawings and method sheets and will ideally have used and programmed AOI systems. You will have worked to IPC610 inspection standards and have been involved in continuous improvement activities.
You will be a good communicator, have excellent time management skills and be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.

On a day to day basis you will be diagnosing and repairing PCB's. You will be using AOI Systems to locate the fault and then carrying out the repairs, replacing components as required.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a background in electronic repairs, and ideally have used AOI systems, although this is not essential, and have worked to IPC610 inspection standards. You will be a good communicator, have excellent time management skills and be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.

They have trialled the system in the commercial market and it has been received well, so they are now looking to capitalise in the business to business market. THE ROLE
You will be responsible for targeting businesses within the local area to promote and sell the security product and service contract. You will be demonstrating the equipment in business premises to owner / managers, closing the sale and generate further referrals.
THE PERSON
You will have a strong background in sales, particularly in face to face sales, have your own vehicle and mobile phone. You must be self motivated, as there will be large amounts of time spent working on your own, money motivated and a hard worker.
